Conservative activist and Trump ally Charlie Kirk was shot dead at a Utah Valley University event last Wednesday.

Some 3000 people gathered to hear Kirk speak at Utah Valley University to hear a debate before he would be struck in the neck and bleed out under his tent.

In the days after his death, authorities announced Friday that they had made an arrest, with President Donald Trump breaking that news to the country.

Soon afterwards, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox would state, “We got him.”

The Republican governor identified the suspect as Tyler Robinson, who has been arrested on multiple state felony charges: suspicion of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a weapon causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.

Robinson was said to be turned in by his own father.
