BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Youth violence continues to make local and national headlines, but one group is hoping to help change that by speaking in different communities.

The Youth Violence Conflict Resolution Seminar is a national movement, and on Sunday, they were in Washington talking to the community and youth to encourage positive change and less violence, a message the organization is hoping to instill in the youth of communities everywhere.

Kids like Moshe Moore say they feel that getting in touch with the organization and its mentors has helped them.

“I can say for myself too, I was quick to fight,” Moore said. “I loved fighting, but the older I got and the more I got in this program, I realized I don’t have to fight.”
