If you are abroad and want to bring food or animal products into England, Scotland or Wales - and it is for your own use - then there are some rules you need to be aware of. Officials at the GOV.UK website have written to inform travellers that whilst some products are allowed, certain versions may not be . ‌

For example, whilst bread is on the green list, if it has any fillings, it is on the red list. There are also a number of restricted items and if you are taking something on this list, you may need a permit . ‌
