MINNEAPOLIS – Former BYU running back Tyler Allgeier followed his blocks and cruised up the gut to score his first touchdown of the season on Sunday Night Football.

The TD gave the Atlanta Falcons a 22-6 lead with three minutes left, sealing the team’s first win of the season.

Allgeier finished with 16 carries for 76 yards as well as one reception for four yards.

The touchdown was Atlanta’s only time in the end zone to that point. The 15-6 score prior to that was built with five Falcons field goals and two Minnesota field goals.

Despite the lack of execution in scoring moments, the Falcons’ rushing attack was dynamic. 219 of the team’s 327 yards came on the ground, as the Vikings had no answer for Bijan Robinson’s explosiveness and Allgeier’s power from the opening kickoff.
