PROVIDENCE – Gov. Dan McKee faces an uphill climb in his reelection bid, with a 29% approval rating and the narrowest of edges over his closest possible Democratic primary challenger, according to a newly released poll that detected a lot of undecided voters.

The poll produced by the University of Rhode Island's "Survey Initiative" touched on 2026 election politics, "responsibility" for the Washington Bridge debacle and other top-of-mind issues to potential voters, especially health care.
