A shootout on the West Side left four people shot including two suspects late Sunday in Austin.
Officers were on patrol around 11:50 p.m. when they heard gunfire in the 5300 block of West North Avenue, Chicago police said.
A 32-year-old man was shot in the groin and a 40-year-old man shot in the abdomen, police said. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital where they were in fair condition, officials said.
A 30-year-old man who police say is a suspect was shot in the left elbow and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was in fair condition, police said. A second suspect, 33, was grazed in the face and refused medical treatment.
Charges were pending.
