WASHINGTON — Community members and councilmembers are flagging concerns as the DC Council prepares for its final vote on the RFK Stadium deal. The vote is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17.

Mayor Muriel Bowser is hoping the council swiftly approves the legislation after lengthy testimonies and debates during August's hearings and initial vote.

On Friday, she said, "I hope there are no changes. There was a lot of discussion in the debate and negotiation on the first vote, and it should go, it should go through."

The Deputy Mayor of Planning and Economic Development, Nina Albert, said Friday that she thinks the mayor’s team and the council are aligned.
