Diego Pavia and Vanderbilt got an impressive win against South Carolina with a 31-7 final score, and ending a 16-game losing streak. For Shane Beamer’s team, this loss stings more than ever, putting them on a 2-1 run. Beamer’s team might look good on paper, but their offensive struggles are pretty evident. And numbers don’t lie.

CBS Sports’ Brad Crawford put up a post on X which highlights the problems on offense. The Gamecocks are last in the SEC in total offense (303 YPG) and rushing (110 YPG). They’re also last in first downs with only 52 and have allowed 8 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. It doesn’t just stop there. Even their scoring is ranked 15th at 23 PPG, their third-down conversion rate is 15th at 30.5%, and they’re 15th in red-zone efficiency.
