SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) -- The Syracuse Mets pulled off a comeback win in their final home game of the season, beating the Worcester Red Sox 7-2 on Sunday. After the Red Sox went up 2-0, the Mets kicked it on in the sixth inning. Carson Benge scored Syracuse's first run of the game off a ground out to second. Jose Azocar pushed the Mets ahead 3-2 on a two-run double.
Syracuse extended their lead in the seventh with runs from Benge and Azocar to give the Mets a 7-2 lead. They closed it out in the ninth on a double play to secure the win. The Mets have an off day on Monday before Syracuse begins a six-game series against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Tuesday to end the 2025 regular season. First pitch on Tuesday is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
