TINLEY PARK, Ill. — A shelter-in-place has been issued in the south suburbs following a police pursuit that ended in a crash.
According to Tinley Park police, officers are assisting authorities in Matteson and Frankfort Square in the search for five Black men in all black clothing who are possibly armed with handguns.
Around 6:40 a.m. Monday, the Will County Sheriff's Office announced that a shelter-in-place has been issued for the area of Harlem Avenue and Vollmer Road.
Authorities ask that residents remain in their homes with doors locked as law enforcement actively searches the area for the suspects.
As of 6:50 a.m., one person had been taken into custody.
