NORWALK, CT (WFSB) - A bill aimed at strengthening consumer protection laws was set to be signed by Connecticut’s governor on Monday.

Gov. Ned Lamont said Public Act 25-44 involves provisions to protect against so-called junk fees, price gouging, and eavesdropping by electronic devices.

A bill signing ceremony was scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at the Ben Franklin Center in Norwalk.

State Sen. Bob Duff also said he planned to participate in the ceremony.
