Good morning, everyone! We've got a beautiful pattern setting up for the Rockford area and much of northern Illinois as we head into the work week. Unseasonably warm air is in place over the western Great Lakes, which means we're looking at highs expected to reach the upper 80s through much of the week. These warm conditions will generally be accompanied by dry weather, so it’s a great time to get outdoors.
While temperatures will be warm, those living closer to Lake Michigan might experience slightly cooler readings in the 70s due to lake breezes, but overall, we're tracking warmth that's a notch above our typical September weather. For now, the primary story is plenty of sunshine and warmth.
