A driver was hospitalized Monday morning after a crash with an 18-wheeler in Fort Bend County .
Details about how the crash unfolded are unclear due to the active nature of the investigation. However, the Fort Bend Co. Sheriff’s Office said the crash caused extensive debris cleanup.

As a result, the southbound and northbound lanes of Hwy 99 at Westpark were shut down temporarily. The northbound lanes have since been reopened.
A driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
