BROOKINGS COUNTY, S.D. — Regenerative agriculture and sustainability are at the core of the Langland Cattle Company’s business model.
The family raises Angus-Hereford cattle near Bruce, South Dakota, where they also have a direct-to-consumer beef business. They started selling direct to consumers during the pandemic, and now they provide beef to 65 to 70 families across South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
“We set out initially to produce a product that we felt was not only good for our family but provided the level of quality that we were after,” Tyson Langland said.
Each year, they process around 30 head of cattle for the direct-to-consumer beef business.
