Richmond, B.C., native Camryn Rogers defended her women's world hammer throw title on Monday morning in Tokyo.

Rogers delivered Canada's second gold medal of the World Athletics Championships with a throw of 80.51 metres — a Canadian record.

Evan Dunfee won the men's 35-kilometre race walk event over the weekend.

Rogers won her first title at the 2023 championships in Budapest.
