GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. —

A woman died after being hit by a car in Greenwood County , according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the woman was hit at 9 p.m. Sunday on the Highway 25 Bypass near U.S. 25 South. Latest Forecast

According to troopers, a pickup truck was traveling south when the truck hit the woman, who was in the road.

The coroner identified the victim as Aneeka Loraine Childs, 44, of Greenwood.

Childs died of blunt-force trauma at the hospital.
