CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. —
Human bones found buried in Gaffney, South Carolina, in August are those of a man missing for more than three years, according to Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler.

Through past medical history, X-rays and other forensic tests the remains were identified as Kevin Scott Brookshire.
Fowler said Brookshire was 47 when he went missing from his home in Chesnee.
"He told friends he was going to Tennessee, but never arrived.” Fowler said.
Fowler said the date of Brookshire’s death and the cause and manner are still under investigation.
