The Pitt” has been praised for being the most realistic medical drama on television. And members of the Television Academy think it’s a pretty good show, too.

The hit show on HBO Max took three of the top Emmy Awards on Sunday. It won best drama, and its star and co-executive producer Noah Wyle won best actor in a drama. His co-star, Katherine LaNasa, who plays head nurse Dana Evans in the emergency department, won best supporting actress. The show was nominated for 13 Emmys.

“What a dream this has been,” Wyle said when accepting his first-ever Emmy for his role as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.

Producers for the show — set in Pittsburgh and partially filmed at Allegheny General Hospital on the North Side — are expected back in Pittsburgh this week for filming on Season 2. It put out
