EVANSVILLE – The annual observance of an Evansville woman's disappearance has arrived again with no resolution to the case in sight.

Monday marks the fifth "Find Dawnita Day." Its namesake, Dawnita Wilkerson , was last seen by family on June 21, 2020.

She walked away from a relative's home at the corner of Lodge and Taylor avenues and headed south. Later that evening, at 8:16 p.m., she was spotted on the surveillance footage of an East Side motel several miles away. She was climbing into a 2004 grey Chevy SUV with two men. Cell phone data showed her phone pinging several times as the vehicle crossed the Illinois state line, but it soon went dark. She hasn't been heard from since.

Her aunt, Faye Cardin, said she doesn't have any updates in the case.
