SAGINAW, MI — Emotions simmered at a fever pitch in a Saginaw County courtroom as video played of a man being shot more than a dozen times as he left an afterhours club.

“It’s just wrong,” said one weeping woman as she stood and left the courtroom during the preliminary examination of Marcellus T. Emerson, 39.
