COLUMBUS, Ga. - A medical employee contracted to the Muscogee County Jail has been arrested following allegations of sexual relations with an inmate while on duty.

According to law enforcement, on Sept. 13, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit initiated an investigation after receiving information about the misconduct.

41-year-old aggravated assault suspect in custody, deputies say

A man wanted on aggravated assault charges is now in custody, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

After further investigation, evidence was discovered that the contract medical provider employee, Jasmine Threatts, did engage in sexual relations with an inmate while she was on duty at the Muscogee County Jail.
