SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Following a pleasant Monday morning, temperatures will return to summer-like heat for Northern California amid a weaker Delta breeze.
Meteorologist Tamara Berg said Monday's forecast high for downtown Sacramento is 93 degrees, up from the 88 degrees recorded Sunday. The average for this time of year is 89 degrees.
The Foothills could see highs in the mid-to-upper 80s, while the Sierra may peak in the low-to-mid 70s.
Hot temperatures will linger Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs for the Valley in the upper 90s.
But by Thursday, Berg said a cooldown could bring the forecast high to the upper 80s, closer to average for this time of year.
Friday, there could be chances for rain.
