HOPE – On Friday, September 12th, 2025, at about 1:00pm, deputies with the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Brandon Moreland, 37 of Hope, AR in the 300 block of South Washington Street. Mr. Moreland was charged with Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree and held for a first court appearance.

On Sunday, September 14th, 2025, at 1:00am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Aceson Powell, 19 of Hope, AR in the 100 block of North Hervey Street. Mr. Powell was charged with Theft of Receiving (Firearm) and served with a warrant for Aggravated Assault. Mr. Powell was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.
