Security Group Alleges Department of State Failed to Respond to Four Separate Freedom of Information Act Requests for a Full Year
A security advocacy group has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of State, alleging the agency failed to respond to four Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests concerning records related to the assassination attempt in Florida on President Donald Trump by Ryan Routh.
The lawsuit, filed by the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, claims the Department of State (DOS) has “wrongfully withheld” non-exempt agency records for over 355 days, violating its statutory obligations under FOIA.
