A 38-year-old man’s fatal shooting in Lake Elsinore was under investigation by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department detectives Monday morning.
The victim, identified as Brian Rivas of Lake Elsinore, was found suffering from a gunshot wound about 7:40 p.m. Sunday in the 28000 block of Wells Fargo Lane, according to the sheriff’s department.
Deputies had been sent to the location to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon call.
Paramedics pronounced Rivas dead at the scene, officials said.
No suspect information or details about what might have led up to the shooting have been released.
