Voters in Ponoka will elect a mayor and six councillors on Oct. 20.

Advance voting is scheduled for Oct. 15 to 18, with locations still to be announced. Eligible voters are reminded to bring identification. A list of accepted ID can be found on the Town of Ponoka website.

The deadline to file nomination papers is Sept. 22 at noon.
