OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Westside High School had to cancel classes Monday due to a water main break.

Officials told First Alert 6 that a water line burst Monday morning outside the school.

Once the Metropolitan Utilities District (MUD) was on the site, they were able to confirm that the school’s water line was impacted, and that water to the school would need to be shut off.

Because of this, Westside had to cancel classes today, and many after-school practices and activities have been relocated or canceled.

The school says they have private contractors working on fixing the pipe.

Currently, Westside has no decision on resuming school tomorrow.
