Michigan's summer weather will continue this week — and into the weekend — with 80-degrees highs across much of Michigan.

" Plenty of sunshine, and slowly warming temperatures , through the middle of the work week," the National Weather Service in Gaylord said on X. "A few more clouds, and a touch cooler, to end the week. Chances for rain look unimpressive."

Statewide, temperatures will range in 70s and 80s, with southwest Michigan seeing the warmest weather — up to 87 degrees on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

In the western Upper Peninsula, rain and thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon on Sept. 17 as a warm front brings a chance of rain to areas in southwest and northern Michigan later in the week.
