CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies have charged a woman they say refused to stop for officers while operating a car that had been reported stolen.

Denira Lashea Cale, 29, is charged with child endangerment, driving under suspension, failure to stop for blue lights and simple possession of marijuana, according to Charleston County jail records.

A judge set a total bail of $76,262.50 on the charges.

Deputies say that they attempted to pull over an SUV that had been reported stolen out of Richland County at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday. They spotted the vehicle, a black Nissan Kicks, in the area of Bees Ferry Road and Bluewater Way, court documents state.
