ROHNERT PARK, Calif. —

As Neha Vasudevan prepared for another training session, she laced up her skates, looking at a host of medals all laid out on the table.

There were almost a dozen medals from numerous national championships. She looked at them while motivating herself for her biggest challenge yet.

“It’s there when I am at school," she said while thinking about her next competition. "My mind wanders a little bit. I am in Argentina.”

Buenos Aires is the site of the Artistic Skating Figures World Cup. Vasudevan qualified for competition back in July and is now set to represent Team USA at the end of September.

"I was probably looking like a maniac when I found out I qualified," she said while laughing.
