The Monsters "Let's Checkmate" vinyl plush purchased from Pop Marts TikTok shop.

Pop Mart will restock two popular Labubu blind boxes on Sept. 15, according to the Pop Mart website.

The Labubu blind boxes – which hide the exact content of the package until the customer opens it, sometimes revealing an especially rare item in a series – will be made available for purchase through the online store's Pop Now feature.

The "Big Into Energy" and "Have a Seat" Labubu blind boxes will be available for purchase at 10 p.m. ET Sept. 15, according to Pop Mart's website.

Popular blind boxes can only be ordered on the Pop Mart app

Although other Labubu products are available on the Pop Mart website, their most popular boxes – which include "Exciting Macaron," "Have a Seat" and "Big Into Energy" – are only available on the Pop Mart app.

The app can be downloaded to your cell phone through the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Before attempting to purchase a Labubu through the app, ensure the app is up to date and functioning correctly. If you have a VPN enabled on your device, it will likely need to be disabled.

Which Labubu blind boxes will be available for order?

  • Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. ET:
    • "Have a Seat" blind box: Single boxes will only be available during the restock through the Pop Now feature. Customers can buy a maximum of six blind boxes.
    • "Big Into Energy" blind box: Single boxes will only be available during the restock through the Pop Now feature. Customers can buy a maximum of six blind boxes.

As of Monday, at 1 p.m. ET, the "Let's Checkmate" series vinyl plush was in stock on Pop Mart's website and app. The Labubu, however, is not a blind box and comes in a clear, plastic box.

The "Let's Checkmate" Labubu bag charm retails for $46.99. Customers can purchase a maximum of two.

How much will the Labubus cost?

A single blind box of Labubu restock retails for $27.99, excluding tax and shipping fees, according to Pop Mart. Customers can purchase a maximum of six single blind boxes each.

Purchases of $29 or more made using the Pop Now feature will receive free shipping.

Labubu restock only available through the Pop Now feature

When purchasing a Labubu online, customers have the option to make a regular purchase of a blind box by adding it to their cart. However, the Pop Now feature allows customers to select a specific blind box from a virtual display and open it online to reveal what's inside before it ships.

The feature does not allow customers to purchase whole sets, and it limits customers to only purchasing six blind boxes during the restock.

Customers using Pop Now can scroll through the virtual displays, which contain multiple blind boxes. Depending on the product's popularity, users may have to scroll for a while before finding a box that is available for purchase.

Once the blind box is picked, customers will be able to reserve it for five minutes. Once checkout begins, customers will have 15 minutes to complete their purchase. Otherwise, the item will be removed from their cart.

Labubus sell out quickly

Restocks happen in a flash, and the highly coveted Labubus can sell out in less than a minute.

Being able to purchase a Labubu is based purely on luck, but to ensure the odds are tilted in your favor, here are some tips, based on USA TODAY's research:

  • Use the Pop Mart app and ensure that it is up to date.
  • Create an account ahead of the launch and save your credit card and shipping information to save time.
  • Make sure your Wi-Fi or cellular connection is strong.

What is a Labubu?

Labubu is a doll that resembles a monster, featuring a large head, sharp teeth and prominent eyes. The Labubu keychains everyone is obsessed with are furry and come in different colors, shapes, and sizes.

Pop Mart has sold small Labubus, including some that are shaped like shrimp tempura, carry Coke products or are dressed as pumpkins.

Some people say they look a bit scary, while others think they're downright adorable.

The doll was designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung roughly a decade ago. But today, Labubus are sold worldwide by the Beijing-based toy maker Pop Mart as part of their "The Monsters" line.
