DELTONA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Two boys were arrested after they were accused of breaking into a Florida elementary school and causing over $50,000 in damage.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said a 12-year-old and 13-year-old shattered a glass door at Friendship Elementary School in Deltona and then trashed the media center on Saturday.

The boys returned to the school later that day "to look at the damage and cause more," according to VCSO.

The sheriff's office posted a photo of the two suspects, who were wearing masks, to Facebook on Sunday. In a Monday update, the sheriff's office said the children were identified after their mothers called the agency.

The suspects confessed to the crime, according to VCSO, and each boy was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of trespassing
