HINSDALE, Ill. (WLS) -- An alleged DUI driver nearly crashed into suburban police during Labor Day weekend.

Hinsdale police released dashcam footage of the incident. Police did not provide the exact time or date of when the incident happened.

The video shows as an alleged impaired driver nearly crashes head-on into a police officer on Ogden near I-294.

After barely avoiding the crash, police then arrest the alleged impaired driver.

Hinsdale police said this year the department has made nearly 40 DUI arrests.
