LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Tech giant Meta announced a major investment in two southern Indiana organizations Monday that supports education focused in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM), and entrepreneurship.

The grant is split between Maker 13, a nonprofit workshop in Jeffersonville, and Youthlink Southern Indiana, an organization offering tutoring, mentoring and services to help young students succeed.

The investment is meant to expand hands-on learning, workforce readiness and entrepreneurial opportunities for younger and older community members, according to a representative of Maker 13.
