WASHINGTON — A Maryland man will spend 16 years in prison for killing his girlfriend's husband in D.C. back in December 2022.
Keyon Slaughter, 28, of Waldorf, Maryland, pleaded guilty in a deal for those 16 years back in June. Now he has been officially sentenced. After he is released from prison, he will be on probation for five more years.
Slaughter killed Dana Bailey Jr. inside Bailey's own apartment on the 3200 block of E Street Southeast around 10:15 a.m. Dec. 5, 2022, according to court documents. He was dating Bailey's wife, who was also charged alongside Slaughter. She pleaded guilty to obstructing justice.
