BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Cooper set career-highs with 10 catches for 207 yards and four touchdowns in a 73-0 win over Indiana State that helped the No. 19 Hoosiers improve to 3-0. It was the ninth 200-yard receiving game in team history and his four touchdown grabs tied IU’s single-game program record.

“It gives us the confidence we are getting better each and every week, it’s getting us prepared for the next big game, which is Illinois,” Cooper said after the win . “I think that game will be really exciting for us.”
