On Sept. 15, 2025, Texas Lottery announced 2 winners claimed a second-tier Powerball prize worth $1 million from Sept. 6 drawing.

Like the grand prize winners, the third $1 million Powerball secondary prize in Texas must claim their winnings from Texas Lottery by March 5, 2025.

Texas Lottery said the player who won $1.8 billion Powerball chose the cash value and will receive $410.3 million before taxes.

Texas Lottery draw game players (which include Powerball and Mega Millions) must choose cash or annual payments when they buy tickets.
