DENVER (KDVR) -- Four cats are safe and with their family after firefighters rescued them from a garage fire and administered oxygen to two of them on Monday.
A little before 10 a.m., South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a fire on Allison Way in unincorporated Jefferson County.
Once crews arrived, a working garage fire was quickly put under control.
All residents safely evacuated the home and reported that four cats were inside.
One of the cats was rescued and administered oxygen by SMFR medical crews. Another cat was rescued and given oxygen as a precaution before it was released to the homeowner.
