Community members urge regulator to deny major increase to Halifax water rates

HALIFAX - Halifax's water utility faced strong opposition at a hearing today into its proposal to hike rates by more than 36 per cent over two years.

The hearing at the regulatory board heard from the provincial government, small businesses, consumer advocates, and apartment rental companies.
