A Hollyoaks youngster has announced their departure from the Channel 4 drama following an eight-year stint.

Lacey Findlow has portrayed Dee Dee Hutchinson, the adopted daughter of Tony and Diane Hutchinson, since 2017.

The character was previously brought to life by Annabelle and Charlotte White from 2013 to 2016, with Lily Harrington taking on the role in 2015.

Viewers will recall that Dee Dee was swapped at birth with Rose Lomax by nurse Mariam Andrews, though both mothers chose to continue caring for the children they had been raising.

Lacey took to her Instagram account on Monday (September 15) to reveal that her concluding scenes will broadcast next week, reports the Mirror . READ MORE: Channel 4 share announcement ahead of Hollyoaks' 30th anniversary in exciting update
