COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a man was arrested early Monday morning after attempting to strangle a victim.

CSPD said officers received a report from a business around 2:42 a.m., where an employee had come to work and was injured in a domestic violence situation at an apartment on Barnes Road near Weidner Field.

During the investigation, police said they learned the victim was strangled and attempted to escape the suspect by jumping off the third-floor balcony.

Police said the suspect then pulled the victim back inside and strangled them again.

Search and arrest warrants were granted, but before entering the apartment, police said the suspect had already left.

According to CSPD, the suspect, 23-year-old Gary Gamble, was then taken
