EAST NEW YORK — A 71-YEAR-OLD MAN was hospitalized after being struck by a car driven by a 15-year-old in East New York on Sunday morning, according to abc7 New York. The crash happened around 10 a.m. at Pennsylvania and Hegeman avenues when a black Honda Accord, going the wrong way, went airborne and slammed into a utility pole, leaving the victim no time to move. The teen driver fled on foot but was quickly caught by NYPD officers who had been pursuing him. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police later charged the teen with grand larceny, leaving the scene, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment and obstructing governmental administration, abc7 said.
