WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump announced the U.S. military bombed a ship he claimed was smuggling drugs from Venezuela for the second time this month, less than a day after he declined to rule out bombing mainland Venezuela nor ousting Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The strike Monday morning killed three men, Trump said, labeling them “narcoterrorists” in a post to his Truth Social platform that included unclear video of the strike. The U.S. president said the strike occurred while the vessel was in international waters and no U.S. forces were harmed in the operation.
