A Chicago woman was killed in a fatal , single-vehicle crash at the Kishwaukee Street roundabout early Sunday morning Sept. 14, 2025.

The driver, Alazia Hatchett, 30, of Orland Hills, was arrested on charges of aggravated DUI involving death and reckless homicide.

Rockford Police Department officers were called to Kishwaukee Street and Airport Drive about 2:30 a.m. for reports of a vehicle crashing into a roundabout wall. All three occupants were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The backseat passenger, identified by the Winnebago County Coroner's Office as Ciana Talmadge, 25, of Chicago, was critically injured and later died at the hospital. An autopsy found that Talmadge died as a result of head injuries suffered in the crash.
