MUSKEGON, Mich. — More than 34 years after the brutal stabbing and killing of Talfrieda Covington in Muskegon County, a man has been charged with her murder.
Last Wednesday, Muskegon County Prosecutor DJ Hilson announced Darick Anderson was charged with perjury and open murder for the death of Covington.
Covington’s family sat down with 13 ON YOUR SIDE to talk about their continued mission to find her killer a year ago.
When the family got a call from the prosecutor’s office about the update, Covington’s daughter Kescha Covington says she didn’t think it would be the update her family was waiting for.
