Aberdeenshire is set to become the latest Scottish council to introduce 20mph speed limits on roads across its towns and villages later this month.
Hundreds of roads will soon see their speed limit slashed in a bid to reduce the number of accidents , with several councils having already done similar.
Aberdeen was recently forced to admit the new limit on 700 roads across the city was not yet enforceable because bosses had not erected the relevant signage.
Dundee and Edinburgh have already made the move while others such as Glasgow and Inverclyde have agreed to introduced reduced limits thousands of roads.
