WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A McGregor man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy at church, at Boy Scout camp and at a Robinson park is seeking deferred probation in the case.

Jackson Golden, 23, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child Monday in exchange for a recommendation from the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office that he be placed on deferred probation.

Golden, who was 15 at the time of the August 2017 assault for which he pleaded guilty, was certified to stand trial as an adult in the case.

Judge Thomas West of Waco’s 19th State District Court received Golden’s guilty plea and ordered a presentence investigation to be conducted by probation officers to determine if he will accept the DA’s office recommendation for probation.
