CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A man has been sentenced after shooting at officers during a domestic abuse situation last year in Chandler.
Cody Long, 33, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on several charges related to the incident, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced on Monday.
In March 2024, Chandler police responded to a domestic fight at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Chandler Boulevard near Interstate 10 after it was reported that Long was keeping a woman hostage at the hotel.
The woman told investigators that Long assaulted her, took her phone and tied her up, all while threatening her with a gun. She managed to escape and call for help while Long was in the bathroom.
