ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) - Residents of Sunrise Inn in Alachua County are raising alarms over deteriorating living conditions that they say are causing health issues.

The building, purchased by the county in 2024 as transitional housing for people experiencing homelessness, has become a source of frustration and fear for those living there. Residents have raised concerns about the building’s safety due to visible damage, including mold, cracked walls, leaks, and peeling paint, amid promises of renovations.
