WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Charlie Kirk was known for his words behind the microphone. But for Jonathon Stack of Wilkes-Barre, the news of Kirk's death wasn’t just another headline; it hit home.

“You don't see many people brave enough to sit on a college campus and hand a stranger a microphone,” Stack said.

Stack now works as a political consultant, a path he never expected to take after graduating from college as a business major. But that all changed after the 2016 presidential election.

“One day, in the McDonald’s drive-thru, I got a call and it was Charlie Kirk offering me a job at Turning Point,” he recalled.

That call came back in 2017, before Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, became a national name.
